The Beastmen Glade

Description

The unholy glade of the Beastmen, with a Wargor, Bray Shaman, Chaos Warhound, Minotaur, two Gors, Ungor and many minor monstrosities.Warhammer fantasy battle.
Plagued not only with the everchanging energy of chaos, but also with the curse of the spiral.

Inspired heavily by the Qliphoth from manga "Berserk".

I know, I always has been making Bretonnians, but there was this one lecture some time ago when I wanted to draw something to not fall asleep, and I was out of references - so I couldn't make any horses - wchich was the next one in the quee for the brets. And so I made something I could always draw - chaos, with all it's twisting and monsters.

I also dared myself to mix the Warhammer reality with the idea of the curse of the spiral. After reading Junji Ito's manga Uzumaki one can never look at the spiral the same as before reading it. It's nothing strange that when I wanted to add some horrifying and disturbing elements I had just twisted some twigs and helixed the horns.

And think that I was going to advance slowly with my Warhammer oriented ink works... Last one's advancements were putting two people at the same time and adding a mere line of grass as the background. Hehe. And now this is the most intricate drawing I have ever made. Took a crapload amount of time to finish several stages of sketches, the lineart and the shading.
Funnily enough, about half of the shading was made when I was sleep deprived.

Done with pens of various companies, ranging from 0.1 to 0.8, on a technical A4 paper.
